Casino Games
The Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ) is an autonomous body with legal personality and its own representing the state in exercising the functions of supervision and control for the installation, management and operation of the 18 new casinos in the country.
Its mission is to regulate and supervise the new casino gaming industry, ensuring full compliance and public confidence, and promote and encourage its development efficient, accountable and transparent contribution to regional development through excellence officials and processes. Created by Law No. 19,995 of 2005, the SCJ is governed by the Public Address System and High ultimate authority is the Superintendent appointed by the President of the Republic. It also has a Board Resolving exercising the exclusive powers to grant, deny, renew and revoke permits to operate casinos in the country.
Resolving The Council is chaired by the Undersecretary of Finance and comprising the Deputy Secretary for Regional and Administrative Development, the Superintendent of Securities and Insurance, the Director of National Tourism Service, two representatives of the President of the Republic appointed by the Senate, and the Regional Governor corresponding to the location for casino operation whose permission is required to act Resolving Council. Of the 18 new casinos that make up the new industry in Chile approved a total of 15 are already operating in the towns of Antofagasta, Calama, Copiapo, Rinconada, San Antonio, Santa Cruz, Mostazal, Talca, Pinto (Termas de Chillán), Talcahuano, Los Angeles, Temuco, Valdivia, Osorno and Punta Arenas, while projects Ovalle, Castro and Coyhaique, are being materialized. |
